The Valerie Cute Memorial has provided both boys and girls High School soccer programs throughout the state of Ohio the opportunity to get an early look at their players for the upcoming season for over 17 years. It has grown over these years to host anywhere from 25-40 teams, and we would like to see it continue to grow and expand.
Fairborn High School, in collaboration with Wright State University, hosts teams from both the local area and from around the state. Venues include WSU’s Alumni Stadium, WSU’s high quality practice facility, and the Fairborn High School Soccer Stadium.
The Memorial commemorates Fairborn High School alum, and Wright State University student-athlete Valerie Cute – who tragically passed away on August 12, 2001 while attending WSU. Valerie Cute was an all-star athlete at FHS, lettering in 3 sports, including soccer. Her successes as both a student and athlete have been celebrated and commemorated with her entry into the Fairborn High School Hall of Fame.
Funds generated by the Valerie Cute Memorial support the Valerie Cute Scholarship, as well as the Fairborn High School soccer programs.
